Each year, MNEDF awards grants to EDAM members to cover a portion of the cost to employ an intern that will focus principally on economic development related work. Over the past nine years, 94 community internship grants have been awarded to EDAM member communities and organizations.

• Employer must spend at least $2,000 on direct intern compensation.
• Quality of the proposed work tasks and exposure to economic development projects.
• Program of supervision and mentorship opportunities.
• Must be an EDAM member to apply for internship grant.
Applications will be accepted through the end of the business day on Monday, November 17, 2025.
Recipients will be notified by no later than December 8, 2025.
