My internship with the Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) was an experience that will benefit me for the rest of my career. I can’t say enough about how much I learned and how important the connections I made will be to my career. This experience has opened so many doors for me already, and I am incredibly thankful for that. Trying to land a job right out of college today is a daunting task. Majority of quality job opportunities will not explore the idea of hiring a student straight out of college. Due to my internship experience, I was awarded a job offer immediately following my college graduation. For that, I will be forever grateful that I earned this opportunity.
Accepting an internship funded though MNEDF was important for my success. Being able to receive some compensation while in my role as an intern removed a large amount of stress off my shoulders, thus allowing me to focus on my work. Overall, this experience has taught me more than I could have ever imagined and has already positioned me to have a successful career.
